He had his office (computer) set up in his bedroom, so at night while his girl friend, (now wife) was sleeping, Niek worked until the wee hours in the morning to start Bouncing Orange. Originally a computer programmer, he got sick of looking at codes all day, he decided to attack a more visual medium - web. After 6 months, clients started knocking on Bouncing Orange’s door, and alongside this came the referrals, and so this is how the ball started rolling, (or should we say, bouncing?). Soon, an office was open complete with signage out the front door. The business has now reached a stage whereby Bouncing Orange has a tightly-knit, very creative and dynamic team and is expanding at a nice and manageable pace. Niek is extremely fair and listens to everyones opinion and values it... although he might not always act on it as he is Dutch after all (read = stubborn!). But he likes people to express themselves and give all the team a sense of pride and responsibility when it comes to handling projects. Today, he still runs the company with the same philosophy and enthusiasm as the days he sat programming in his bedroom in the mid-dawn hours. |

She impressed him by the skills and university degrees she had under her belt, as well as the web development and graphic design knowledge which she used to teach at university in France. Geraldine hates being the same as everyone else, and loves to come up with extraordinary graphic designs for web and print. She started working freelance for Bouncing Orange while she resided in France. It became quite obvious that the amount of talent and fantastic personality Geraldine possessed was perfect for the Bouncing Orange team. So after a long process, Geraldine arrived back in Perth and things have steamed ahead since then. Her talents, her personality, work ethic, problem solving ability and ability to laugh while being overloaded with work has made Geraldine extremely valuable to Bouncing Orange. She can, however, be a little bit stubborn... what can we say... we understand you’re French Geraldine, we love you! |

{baby Einstein web developer pip}Thomas descended straight from space lab to Perth and joined the Bouncing Orange team as a web developer...Thomas descended straight from space lab to Perth and joined the Bouncing Orange team as a web developer. Thomas was a very quiet young man who pretty much kept to himself. How things have changed. He is now, by far, the loudest team member at Bouncing Orange - and we absolutely love it! The louder the better we say. Besides the fact that Thomas has us in stitches for most of the day with his unbelievably good sense of humour, he is by far one of the smartest people we have ever come across - and we have met some interesting individuals on our global travels. He gives web development a whole new meaning. He has come up with some amazing outside the box solutions to web issues that we have encountered along the way. Above all, we are very impressed with his ’never say die’ attitude and his incredible dedication to the project at hand. We are bursting out of our orange peel’s with pride to have someone of Thomas’s caliber on board. The only thing that worries us about him is the fact that he has got absolutely no taste in music. We are quite frequently forced to listen to the Eurovision song contest albums. That is a crime in it self.... maybe there is hope - who knows. |
